Convallaria Magalis (translates as “that which belongs to May”)
Lore says that the Faery cups ring when the Faeries sing!
It is also told that the flower is in honour of Maia, the daughter of Atlas, the oldest of the seven sisters and the goddess of growth. She and Zeus are the parents of Hermes, making her the grandmother of magick, which was created by her son Hermes. The month of May is named after her, and the 1st and 15th are her sacred days.
Can also be known as May bells or Faery Cups.
